Back-ups run automatically on the terminal that "Enable Automatic Backups" is switched on for, as long as StrongER is running at the time of the automatic backup
Backups will be configured by StrongRoom AI during installation. If you have or are attempting to change these settings it is recommended, you contact us first.
- Click on the Settings page on the sidebar
- Click on the Database and Backup page in the top menu bar
- Review Backups Settings as required
- Create a backup now: This creates a backup of the database at the current moment.
- Enable Automatic backups: are recommended and will be set to occur on one computer during trading hours (as the Stong ER application needs to be running at the time of the automatic backup). Toggled on, will enable backups.
- Automatic Backup Time: is when the automatic backup will occur each day.
- Enable Secondary backups: toggled on, enables a secondary copy of the backup to be saved to the secondary backup location.
- Secondary Backup Location: can be set to another folder on the same computer, another computer on the network or to the Cloud (e.g. OneDrive / Google Drive / Dropbox etc.)
- Previous Backups: shows previous backups that have been made of your database, select "save" to save another copy of the backup to location specified by the user.
Cloud Backups: Can be configured using the "Secondary Backup Location" for OneDrive / Google Drive / Dropbox etc. Contact StrongRoom Support for assistance in setting this up.
If you are unsure if the backups are configured correctly, contact StrongRoom Support and we will configure this for you. Correctly configured backups reduce the risk of data loss for your pharmacy.
Do not select "Restore" from the Database and Backup page without contacting StrongRoom AI Support, as you run the risk of losing data if used incorrectly.
