Transferring a Drug from one location to another within your facility (Transfer Out)

Transfer In and Transfer Out refers specifically to transferring a drug from one safe to another within your facility

To transfer a drug out of your current location begin by clicking on the Transfer Out button.

  1. Click into the Location to send to field, begin typing the name of the Ward or Location
  2. Select the correct location from the dropdown list
  3. Enter the Transfer Out Notes into the Notes field
  4. Then select either the Resident Medication or Imprest button
  5. Enter the Resident’s name into the Resident Search field
  6. You may choose to Include inactive residents or Add a New Resident from this window
  7. Then click the Search button
  8. Click on the resident Image/Details to select
    • From this view you may Create the Prescriber if this has not already been added

  9.  Click into the Prescriber field and begin typing the Prescriber name

    •   A list of Prescriber names will display.

10. Click on the name to select the Prescriber

11.  Click into the Select medication field, or use the dropdown arrow to view the            options available

12. Select the relevant medication

13. Update the number of tablets to transfer, if required

14. Then click the Add button

15. Click the Send Transfer button

16. You will be prompted to enter your Password to verify the transaction

17. Then click Sign

18. The Witness should enter their Username and Password

19. Then click Sign


The Drug Register will now be updated to reflect that the medication has been transferred out of your current location. The balance for this medication now should now register as zero.
