# How do I search for a Resident?

## To search for a Resident, navigate to the Residents tab on the dashboard

In the Resident search field, 

1. Type the resident's name into the Search field (you may choose to enter just a few letters of the name)
2. **Include inactive residents** and click the **Search** button
3. Click on the resident's name to select
4. You are taken directly to the residents Medication chart

     - You may also use the **Search Resident** field on the dashboard
