Administering Insulin Medications

Administration of Insulin: Firstly you need to obtain the BGL.

1. Using your to click on the ‘GET BGL’ button
   
   
2. Using your mouse or keypad, enter a number into the BGL field 
3. Then click the Confirm Reading button
   
4. You are then returned to the Administration window where, for Insulin Medication, the Last reading should now read as less than 30 minutes ago
5. You are ready to document the administration.  
6. Click on the ADMINISTER button
   
7. Enter the Quantity administered based on the notes provided
8. Using your mouse, click Administer
9. The Primary nurse will enter their Username and Password
10. The Witness will enter their Username and Password
11. Then click Sign
12. You are returned to the administration window
    
13. The Insulin administration is marked as Done
